When the crew arrived the Foreman, Evan spoke in terms I as the homeowner could understand. The woman, sorry that I don't remember her name, who I talked to setting up my appointment was helpful, pleasant and spoke up and clearly which helps those of us with hearing problems. My husband and I just purchased an older home and were unpleasantly surprised of the condition of the crawlspace on our inspection report (see screenshot attached in the photos – this space was almost a deal breaker on buying the house because of the mold). After talking to AFS, we decided it was best to treat the mold then fully encapsulate everything for 1. storage 2. long-term energy savings and 3. (most importantly) cleaner air to breathe in every day. Ben, Angel, Mario, and Israel did an amazing job on our large crawlspace (see other pictures)! What was supposed to be a 2-day job was completed in 1 day and all questions we had about the work were answered instantly! We are incredibly happy with it and feel like a huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders as new homeowners!

We had it done right before "Debby" and there were some issues due to the amount of rain we got. We called MVFS and they immediately came out and rectified the situation. He remained available and immediately responsive to my repetitive questions throughout the process and coordinated services with remediation crews and electricians. I am confident that Max saved us money by ensuring services weren't duplicated. The crew working under our house was equally purposeful and patient. Erick Baez and Tejon McGee spent several days under our house and in and out of our house. They were respectful of the environment at all times. All work environments were covered with plastic and they wore gear to protect themselves and our home. They tidied up each evening when they left. Communication was tight. Erick, Tejon, Max were all on the same page from day 1; They had a plan and worked the plan. I had some anxieties about possible rain before the project was done. Erick came up with a temp fix that addressed my fears and took some extra steps to put it in place. No one made me feel stupid for needing that extra step. They walked me through the completed project which was very helpful. I should also mention that I did get a other quotes. Groundworks was not the lowest quote by a bit. But, they are professional, backed their recommendations with data, and followed up after the project was complete. I recommend this company. Solid organization.

Jeff Garber from Groundworks/Underpinning was AMAZING! Let me just start off by saying, we did not pay anything for our walkthrough/inspection. I've been a realtor for 18 years but this was for our personal property in Walnut Creek and I was extremely worried we were going to hear from Jeff that we need to do six figures worth of work. We have experienced some shifting in our floors, walls, thresholds and I was CONVINCED we needed major repairs. However, Jeff brought us a huge sense of relief by not only telling us we didn't need any major repairs and what we were experiencing was normal for our age home. From my extensive experience working with vendors, they almost always push some sort of work, unnecessary or necessary. About 12 years ago, I noticed a step pattern crack in masonry between bricks on one side of my house. I called Alpha Foundation and after their and inspection and proposal, I accepted their proposal and they fixed the problem. I have had no other noticeable foundation problems since. Recently, I have decided to downsize and plan to put my home up for sale. I want to be able to guarantee a potential buyer that there are no issues with the foundation. So I called Alpha Foundation again and Sam Bridges, assisted by Brian, performed an extensive inspection, both inside and outside. For the inside of the house, they produced a house diagram showing 4 or more location measurements in each room noting any variance in elevation from the elevation at the center of the house. Only one interior location had a variance of -0.4 or greater so their proposal included steps to stabilize that area. Exterior concrete areas showed cracks, 2 need lifting and several need stabilization only. The price of the overall proposal was very reasonable. I got a 5% discount as a repeat customer. And I have documentation to show potential buyers that the house foundation is still solid after 24 years. The inspectors were very professional, showed me all issues found, explained how the issues would be resolved and answered all my questions. I highly recommend Alpha Foundations.

My husband is a veteran served this country for 23 years and 3 months and I former medical worker and during covid 19 in NYC. The front wall of my basement was developing cracks and starting to bulge in the middle so I called Groundworks based on reviews I had read. Erik E. came to the house and gave me a rundown on what my options were and what to expect from the company. He was very informative and personable and I signed up to have the work done. Before the team showed up to work, I was given clear expectations from Groundworks as to what I needed to have completed so the team could work efficiently. When the first day of the three-day job came the work team (Mike K., Harry M., and Josh G.) inspected the job site and went right to work. At the end of each day, Mike called me and told me what had been accomplished and what was coming up the next day. Looking at the end results, the team worked well and everything was done on time. I highly recommend Groundworks and the people they have doing the work! I feel much better knowing the structure of the basement is sound and dry!

I contacted JES Foundation Repair to fix my sinking driveway and I was completely impressed by the professionalism and dedication demonstrated by everyone I met. Bryan Rutherford and Morgan Oakley arrived at my home right on time. They were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. They started working right away, also took the time to thoroughly explain to me the entire process and gave me an accurate estimated time of completion. When the job was about 90% finished, unfortunately a piece of equipment broke down. They finished the remaining tasks as much as they could, cleaned the worksite and promised to come back a week later to complete the job, as soon as the faulty equipment was fixed. To my surprise, Bryan called me the next morning and told me that he’d be back on that day, as he was concerned about the unsealed area of the driveway and wanted to take care of it right away. He managed to find a workaround, drove to my house (out of his way) and completed the remaining job. They did such a fantastic job my driveway almost looks like a new one again! Thank you, Bryan, Morgan, Jesse for your help. I would not hesitate to recommend JES Foundation Repair to anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy concrete repair.
