Spouses Pat and Ricki Edwardson founded Basement Authority of West Virginia in 2003. Ricki has a long history in the industry, beginning her career in her father’s construction business and receiving a bachelor’s degree in engineering. In 2022, BAWV partnered with Groundworks, the nation’s leading and fastest-growing foundation and water management solutions company, to strengthen their business and expand their presence in the community. He observed a bulge in my washer machine line that was about to pop and create a major catastrophe. He was able to resolve the issue until I can get it addressed. (The house has a half-basement.) He arrived early in a clean company vehicle and in uniform. Very pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and down-to-earth. His inspection of the areas of concern took some time because he was so very thorough. Once completed with the inspection, he presented various options, and we discussed each option. Seems his concern was more about what was best for my situation rather than profit. I really appreciated that. After they left, the wall seal no longer sagged, the concrete was level and neat, and the system was functioning correctly. They had found the error that was causing our system to fail and corrected it. They were very knowledgeable and even educated me on the system before leaving. We pray we have no more issues, but definitely would want Aden, Jaeden, and Ralph to come back to fix if anything arose.

We went with BA of WV after Carrie came over to our house for the initial inspection and was able to point out several issues that both another basement inspector and our home inspector had never mentioned. She took great care to explain to us exactly what she was seeing and the steps needed to fix it. She walked us step-by-step through exactly what we would be paying to have done, and she kept in constant communication after we signed the contract. Brad and his crew were scheduled just a couple weeks after we signed, and they got the work done well ahead of schedule. I was extremely impressed with how the three men on the crew also kept us well informed each step of the way. They made it clear that they were consulting with Carrie and the supervisors through the whole process. **My favorite part about this crew was how creatively and kindly they managed to work around the unique issues out basement presented, even managing to work around issues that we had trouble getting solved before the construction date.** After this experience, we even have Carrie coming back again to discuss with us the logistics of tackling another part of our basement that has left contractors and inspectors baffled previously. Brad even said he and the crew would likely be back if we do the next project through BA. ✨TLDR: The whole team was kind, knowledgeable, consistent, quick, and reliable.

Finally a crew that troubleshooter the problem quickly and accurately. Mr Davis took his time and explained my options on how to resolve this situation and with his assistant, Mr Nida, came up with a solution while others simply missed it time after time. Also, he called to confirm this morning. I am so pleased with both of these fine young men. They are true professionals and Ground Works/Basement Authority are lucky to have them on their team.
