I serve on the HOA board for a 36-unit condo building in Los Angeles, and we had a major accessibility issue. Our driveway entrance was sinking while the adjacent sidewalk slab was rising. Over the years, this created a 4-inch lip that caused residents' cars to scrape every time they entered. Since most of our residents live here year-round, we needed a solution that wouldn't block access for days. After researching, I found Groundworks. Mike met with us and explained the concrete lifting process clearly. His estimate was very reasonable, especially compared to the alternative: tearing out and repouring the entire drive, which would have taken days and caused a logistical nightmare. Groundworks had all their insurance and licenses in order, making the onboarding process seamless for our Property Management. Unlike many contractors I’ve dealt with, Mike provided consistent updates and kept the project moving. On installation day, the foremen, Jacob and Ricardo, arrived exactly at 9:00 AM. Jacob was great at communicating what was realistic for our 'driveway dilemma.' In just a few hours, they were finished. They raised the slab several inches, caulked the cracks, and even ground down the sidewalk edges for a smooth finish. By the next day, residents were driving in without any issues. I was the 'HOA hero' for finding such an efficient, cost-effective fix. Homeowners rejoiced! A few weeks later, everything is holding up perfectly. I recommend Groundworks wholeheartedly for anyone dealing with foundation or concrete issues. It was a better and quicker solution than we ever imagined.

Paul Edwards from Groundwork’s visited us a few weeks ago to look at our concerns with the cement walkway around our in ground pool. Paul was very knowledgeable and experienced with our concerns because he came from a family with a pool, he worked in the cement / pool industry and now working with Groundwork’s. He was very patient, thorough, detailed and very pleasant to meet with. He answered as many questions as we had, left us a detailed quote before he left, provided contact information and the best part, there was absolutely no pressure to sign today. We told him we needed time to think about it, and would get back to him and he respected our position. A few days later we called Paul with a few more questions which he patiently answered and he even revised the initial quote based on our change in project needs. He was very easy to deal with and again no pressure. Unfortunately we did not move forward with the work this year because we needed/wanted to get the pool renovated and it was a matter of prioritizing expenses but we plan to reach back out to Paul next spring. They have some interesting fixes for cracked cement and raising cement that is much more cost effective than replacing cement. We would recommend this company and Paul! Thank you Paul for your patience and thoroughness. We appreciated your fine efforts.

We recently had an issue with our sump pump’s exterior discharge pipe, and Justin Sanders was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. His professionalism was evident the moment he arrived – punctual, courteous, and clearly knowledgeable. He quickly assessed the problem, explained what was happening in a way that was easy to understand, and presented a clear solution. What really stood out was his problem-solving ability. The exterior piping needed to be adjusted and secured properly with very limited room to work with, and he handled it efficiently and confidently, ensuring everything was functioning correctly before he left. The job turned out to be more than originally thought but the crew working here at our house took it all in stride and carried on professionally and diligently. We just concluded the first of two jobs for underpinning our 30 year old home. We will end up with two jobs because more was found to be done when Brandon and team showed up and realized the pinning placement was not 100% accurate. They adjusted the estimate to reflect the new placement and resubmitted the permit at no additional cost to me. We will be requesting more work be done in the near future so that we can raise the floor and level it out. For now we have underpinning in place that stabilizes the situation, secures our foundation so that no more damage is done, and we are pleased with that outcome. Kudos to Brandon and his team for adjusting on the fly and not accepting adequate but providing excellent service.

The leveling of our driveway was our second project with Leveled Concrete (aka Groundworks) this year. With over 2200 sq ft of concrete slabs originally poured in 1994, the nearby tree roots had caused some lifting of the driveway. The crew, led by Corey Scott, did a great job getting the slabs level. Now we can pump up the basketball and shoot hoops without fear of tripping! The project wasn’t inexpensive, but the 5yr guarantee gave us confidence in the process. A special shout-out to Corey Scott for being super communicative throughout the project. His knowledge, professionalism and patience with all of our questions along the way was much appreciated!

I believe in doing the right thing, always. It's how I run MY business, and I'm always hopeful others will be as fair and honest with me as I am with them. I reviewed Groundworks a few days ago based on my recent experience with their work on my foundation repair, which was in, all honesty, a total failure. I expressed disappointment in the expectations that were set by the salesman/certified field inspector, but wholeheartedly praised the four-man crew who did the actual work. Their communication was great, they were very professional, tried hard to deliver the results we ALL wanted, but ultimately left my house dejected because of the fail. My repair job was not particularly difficult (my own two-man crew got it done in a few hours), but in hindsight, it was agreed that the proposal didn't make total sense and probably should have had more input to find the best solution — another set of eyes perhaps. After posting my review, which was honest but not flattering, the local manager, Jack, reached out to me to apologize and ask what the company could do to make things right. That has NEVER happened before to me. Once that check is cashed, it's always been "see ya later sucker". He asked if he could drive down to my home 100 miles away in the aftermath of a bitterly cold ice storm and see for himself the project and try to determine why it failed. What ensued was a step-by-step recounting of the initial appointment by the field inspector, the proposed solution, and an inspection of the results. To my utter surprise, Jack and his partner Blake, were in complete agreement with me that the work failed, the solution was not adequate, and that the expectation level was perhaps too high. There was a disconnect between what SHOULD have been done and what was actually done. Both Jack and Blake listened to me, something men rarely do when dealing with a woman. They were genuinely embarrassed by the results and not once became defensive or insulting or in any way condescending. THAT IS WHAT GOOD BUSINESS PEOPLE DO. It's what businesses do when they care about their clients and want to grow their business the right way. It's doing the right thing, and it pays off. To my surprise, they offered a full refund and even left in place their expensive piers and jacks. It was the right thing to do, but the unheard-of thing. There was no negotiating, no haggling — just a sincere apology, an acknowledgment that I was right, and a friendly handshake to seal the deal. In the end, the job on this house was a failure, but Groundworks earned future business from me because I believe they are truly interested in the client and the results and not just chasing dollars. Integrity is a scarce commodity in this world, but today, Jack and Blake demonstrated it in spades, and for that I say thank you. Although I was disappointed in my personal results, I think we all learned a lesson. We both will use this as a coaching/learning lesson. I will still be wary of salesmen and quick resolution proposals, but I believe this company is sincere in its motivation to do the right thing. When my neighbors come calling to ask for a referral (and they will), I will be honest, and tell them, yes, I recommend Groundworks. Honesty trumps everything. Thank you, Jack and Blake, for doing the right thing.

I want to give a big thank you to Miles and his crew. He did an exceptional job in my crawl space, by answering all my questions and providing the details I needed to understand the process. He also took time to fix some issues in my basement that was done by a previous crew in 2020 which didn’t do a good job, but Miles came in and fix everything that was needed. Back story; Back in 2020 I hired BQ to do my basement, they didn’t do a good job to be honest. A lot of calling back and trying to get it done. Today I needed some work done on my crawl space. I was thinking a lot because of my bad experience. But with Groundworks in charge. I decided to call again. Josh K. Did our quote explain the work and also said he will take care of my basement as well. He kept his word, I was very untrusted and nervous but he had patience to answer my calls and promised he will come back after our foundation issue recover from the amount of moisture it has suffered to ensure it’s in a good stage. He understand our worries and was able to help us out. He ensure he sent one of his best crew to do to work and I will tell you I am happy for now with the work. We will wait until October for him to come back and review the crawl space with us.

I was very happy with every part of their service. Their sales woman was a really good communicator, very clear, knowledgeable and thorough about what they were going to do for our crawl space. Rosalino and his crew were amazing, and made sure that we were happy with his work, and definitely has a measure twice, cut once kind of mentality. Before getting started, he carefully discussed what he was going to do to make sure it was what I expected. I couldn't have asked for a better foreman. He notified us immediately when unexpected things happened (leaks in our plumbing), and helped mitigate it until I was able to get a plumber to fix things. Plus the whole crew was super polite and friendly. I've noticed the air in my house seems to cause me less allergic reactions, right after they were done.

He came out and took a look and was able to tell us it did not look like it was structural and was more so just settlement.
