I want to recognize Greg Johnson for several reasons. Greg was the inspector who looked at my home due to several concerns we had with our crawl space, home foundation, and water issues in the basement. I walked in expecting standard “cliche” sales tactics from this company knowing how big they are. Instead, I walked out truly knowing my home. I wish I brought Greg to my home inspection lol. He was knowledgeable (extremely knowledgeable), was extremely objective of what I needed and what I didn't need. He was forthcoming – you need to do this soon and this can wait. He explained how the homes foundation worked and explained when to be concerned. He even came back the next day to thoroughly check the crawl space when it was light outside. He took detailed photos and explained everything. In todays world of pushy sales people, Greg demonstrated that hes in this business for the right reasons. I hope his senior leadership group all the way up to corporate headquarters see this message and can recognize Greg.

Groundworks created a plan for the work. The garage floor was fully lifted, the shed is level again and the cracks are sealed in the driveway to give us a little longer before having to have a whole new one poured. Mark Teal did a very thorough job of determining the house structure and what work needed to be done, as well as explaining the process to me The work crew, which included Alejandro as the foreman, Michael G and Devon went above and beyond, avoiding taking down a flower bed retaining wall and keeping me informed all the way. They thoroughly cleaned up and even hauled away the excess dirt from digging the holes. I am extremely pleased with the work that was done.

They replaced the old thin damaged black plastic vapor barrier with a new high-quality one, added wall insulation above the foundation, and installed a drainage system to keep the area dry. He did a full inspection, with photos and took floor measurements that ruled out what I thought the issue was. Our issue isn't in their area of work, and we appreciate the honesty. He also noted some out of code work that we had done a year ago under the house. The photos will help us go back after that contractor to make it right! We bought our home in 2018 in Duchesne, Utah. The home had been built in 2006 by a local contractor, who was also the seller. Unfortunately, there was a hidden problem beneath our foundation footings: a 50/50 mix of reject material and clay. After seeing Groundworks’ commercials, we called to schedule a free inspection. Within a week, Jack came to our home. He was extremely thorough and used a laser level to determine how much our home had settled. Sure enough, our home had dropped 3¼ inches on the southwest side from the center of the house. As a homeowner, this was devastating news. The problem was hidden beneath our foundation—something you simply can’t see when you’re buying a home. Jack took the time to explain everything and showed us a presentation detailing exactly what was causing the settlement and how it could be repaired. He also presented several financing options. At no time did we feel pressured to make a decision. We knew our home needed to be repaired, and we appreciated being able to make that decision without any sales pressure. From our initial inspection to the start of the project was only one month. Our three-man crew consisted of the most dedicated, knowledgeable, reliable, and hard-working men: Kaleb, Christian, and Aiden. They answered every question we had throughout the project and kept us informed every step of the way. Their teamwork was impressive, and they completed the job safely, efficiently, and with great attention to detail. They communicated with us every day about when they would arrive, and they were always on time. They also took great care to protect our lawn by covering it with heavy-duty plastic. When the job was finished and everything was cleaned up, our yard looked fantastic—not like it had been through a construction zone. We cannot recommend Groundworks highly enough. They took one of the most devastating situations a homeowner can face and helped us understand the problem, the solution, and what to expect throughout the process. Knowing our home’s repair is backed by a transferable lifetime warranty gives us tremendous peace of mind. That peace of mind is priceless. Thank you, Jack, Kaleb, Christian, and Aiden, for your professionalism, honesty, and outstanding work.

Most important name to remember is CODY . Last year I had to have screw jacks installed on one side of my house (split level home). The groundworks crew (previously without Cody and Erin) was mehhh. They tried to upsell and say I needed an additional 4k of work more than I already agreed upon and actually needed. Nope just do the original work. So a year later in comes CODY for warranty inspection due to a hump in my floor. This guy is phenomenal, on time, polite, explains everything with pictures. What a relief to get customer service like this, it's almost like watching an old time movie where everything was perfect. They did offer upgrades, but they weren't pushy about it, I respect that. Couldn't be happier with CODY and Erin. 6 stars for CODY!
