I'm a Realtor that had a problem: the house I was selling had a major foundation problem. Usually, this can be death to selling a house. I researched different contractors and companies for my out-of-state seller. Groundworks came out and gave a very detailed estimate, explaining exactly what they would do, how they would fix the problem, and what equipment and technology they would use. The seller agreed this was the right solution, and we moved forward. Groundworks took care of everything, including permitting, making the process easy. Immediately after receiving the permits, Groundworks sent up to Monterey a fantastic team of three – Zachary Hersey, Michael Hersey, and Kai Simpson. All three of these young men were excellent. They worked hard, long hours, communicated clearly and consistently – every day I was sent texts or calls, along with photos of the work that was done. They endeavored to leave the home and yard better than how they found it – I was so impressed. I was able to share the progress each day with my seller. And after the work was done, the structure was stabilized, the problems fixed. Now, I can put the house back on the market, knowing the new buyers have a wonderful home with a great warranty on the foundation work. — I want to send an extra shout-out to Zachary. He was such a pleasant, easy to talk to young man. He answered all questions, fixed any problems immediately, and honestly I think he'd make an excellent sales-person for this company. Being a single lady, I felt very comfortable around all three of them. Neighbors came out to ask Zachary's opinions on their homes too, and I'll bet he could have signed up another customer or two who would have benefited from what Groundworks offers. If the owners of the company ever asked my opinion of this 3-person crew with Zachary at the lead, I'd say they should do whatever they can to hang onto them – Zachary, Michael, and Kai would have made them proud! We recently had water damage due to an ice dam, and they were able to get us on the schedule really quickly, which we appreciated. However, the underlying voids, of recent plumbing repairs, created tunnel voids far more extensive than anticipated. What was expected to be a 2-hour project quickly evolved into a 7-hour undertaking. Despite the challenges, Aaron remained determined, professional, and calm! Even after working through a 1/2 barrell, they had to attach a second red barrel, in order to get the job finished. Aaron's & Laz's commitment to completing the job, never wavered. Even though I knew they were hungry and tired, because the job ran into the night (evening). His work ethic & Goal was a happy, satisfied customer! The team continued to push forward and even assisted me with 2 additional areas throughout my home, where my door Jams were off Center, not Level! Laz played a crucial role as well, maintaining a calm and supportive presence that helped keep the entire process steady and focused. Throughout the project, the three of us built a genuine rapport—one that I believe will last well beyond this job. We had an emergency with a broken sump. Daniel Cippone came out the same day to look at it. He was able to work with Groundworks to get a team fix it within 3 days. I noticed more cracks after I had major underground plumbing done last year. So I made an online appt for Groundworks to do a free estimate of my foundation. Gary Adams came out. He explained Groundworks history and did a thorough in-house and perimeter inspection. Later he sat down with my senior mom and I and to explain every measurement in detail with a diagram of my home and he showed a few videos and explained the payment options. Gary was very personable and patient with both us in all our questions to make sure we understood. Before the foundation repair work was done, Groundworks worked with a local Plumber to do a pre test on my plumbing. The installation team of LJ, Lee, Nike and Jalen worked well together. Before the work was done, LJ explained the digging process and allowed my mom and I to ask questions before and during the process. Unfortunately, my main water line was hit but Groundworks, specifically, Clem, helped us through the process of getting our water back on and a place to stay while it was being fixed. Everyone was sincerely apologetic. Despite the hiccup, Groundworks did a great job. The employees I talked to were helpful & responsive. Even my inquisitive neighbor was impressed with their work. Now I'm just waiting on the post plumbing test to make my contract complete.

Our home of 31 years had developed foundation problems directly related to ground water that eroded the earth under one corner of our foundation causing a two inch drop on that corner of the house. An underground spring had erupted in the earth beneath our home that had overwhelmed our current French drains and single sump pump. Groundworks came in and engineered a ground water mitigation system with a new crawl space drainage system, two state of the art sump pump systems with backup pumps and alarms, replaced our vapor barrier and raised and underpinned our foundation corner. Their work met all engineering plans and passed all inspections. They came back out twice to make minor adjustments ensuring all was to our satisfaction. The water mitigation crew of Anthony, Jordan and Jonathan and the Foundation crew of David, Tripp and Keegan, as well as the staff behind the scenes coordinating the work, engineering, scheduling, and permitting all did an exemplary job in essentially saving our home. I can’t say enough about their attention to details and making sure all our needs were met. I most highly recommend Groundworks.

Super friendly and patient staff. No high pressure sales. When the crew (Jose Campos, Wazir Mohammed and Brayan Aguirre) came over to install a sump pump and fix a drainage problem around our house, they were flexible and patient with our concerns and brainstormed solutions to address them. To fix our drainage problem they dug a ditch under our launch so our downspout would lead water away from the house. They patched the lawn so well that you can hardly see they were there. Another crew lifted our sidewalk so it was level and had no trip points. They did a very nice job and were patient with us even when we called them back just 10 minutes later to repair the caulking after a neighbor stepped in it while it was wet. (After we declined the crew's offer to put up caution tape too! So we took them up on their offer after they came back.) Just be mindful that your driveway and sidewalk may have different colors, so when they offer to color match their caulking to your concrete, check whether they can match each individually.

I’d give more stats if I could. Bought a house that had 3inches of standing water in the crawl space, high humidity levels, and mold starting to grow. I called groundwork’s and had an awesome inspection done by Corey! He pointed out several issues and provided solutions that fit with my budget and offered finance options. I didn’t feel pressured at all! A few weeks later we had the crew show up to start the crawlspace renovation. Daniel (the foreman) kept me updated throughout the whole process and his kick ass crew was very professional (Aiden, Pedja, and Juan). Now my house is warmer, dryer (less humidity levels inside), and the floors are warmer…most of all, my crawlspace is good to go forever!

Groundworks Company employees did our foundation support/repair today. Needless to say, we were nervous about the work and what would be going on during the procedure — wondering if anything would be damaged?! However, our concerns were quickly alleviated by the Foreman Joe and Co-Foreman Kaly — before starting they explained the entire process and invited us to watch them and voice questions and/or concerns. They assured us they would stop work should any problems arise and alert us immediately!! While performing the work, we were invited to participate with them showing us how air escaped from one of the drilled holes while filling the hole next to it. How Wild!!! We instantly felt relief that these very personable company employees were well versed in their job and we were able to relax and trust the process. We entrusted Joe and Kaly to care for our home; knowing they had its best interest in mind! That any further settlement in our foundation would be eliminated! We also have a maintenance program where the company will monitor the foundation yearly; should any changes come about, they would then take care of the issue! Thanks for a great job done; your abilities and your assurances, Joe and Kaly!!! WeTruly appreciate you and your company!

Just had a water leak in my basement addressed by Groundworks. I first met with Joe who examined the basement inside and out and not only recommended a solution but also told me why this was best compared to other options. He also explained why the problem existed and how the proposed solution would resolve the problem. Lucio (the foreman) and his team of Brandon and Levi, came out about a week later to start work. Lucio met with me each morning to tell me what they would be doing. The team thoroughly taped off the work areas, worked effectively and efficiently on this four day job and cleaned up after themselves before leaving every day with Lucio summarizing what had been accomplished that day. I have been left feeling that the problem has be resolved with the lifetime warranty adding to that confidence. Everyone I met was friendly, polite and professional. I highly recommend my Groundworks team.

Initially, I chose a bad contractor and the company did not perform anything they said they would for a month. I had to constantly follow-up and call them. I selected a different company called Groundwork! They came out the next and provided a free inspection and quote. Two days later I was given an extremely less expensive quote than the bad contractor and signed the contract. Brent Statham was so awesome gave me different courses of actions and in the end told me to rest easy we will take care of everything from here! 10 out of 10 I do recommend!
