In early 2025, I watched the series of videos put out by Mike Rowe on his Youtube channel where he accompanied a Groundworks team on a jobsite and then interviewed Matt Malone, Groundworks' founder. Those videos encouraged me to put Groundworks on my contact list because I knew we would eventually contract them to help us with water and foundation issues for our raised foundation home in southern California. I first met with DALTEN in December 2025 to discuss our areas of concern and receive his inspection. He spent literally hours thoroughly measuring and documenting our home's underbelly before coming to the table to meet with me over his tablet device on which he recorded all the information we needed to make an informed decision in the approach to repairs. Their balanced use of technology and face-to-face discussion was exactly what was needed to effectively communicate with us about the whole process. We signed on that evening to schedule the work. I scheduled with them to start in January 2026. The Groundworks system emailed and texted with me to keep me updated on time of arrival and what to expect throughout the project. On the first day, ROGER, JUAN, and JORGE came to our property right on time and were ready to go within minutes, fully suited up for their mission under our house. Roger projected 4 or 4.5 days for the job completion and he stuck to that; they began Monday and ended Thursday. Dalten and Roger worked to ensure our plan was both achievable and met the engineer's specifications with respect to the leveling beam installation. A modification was made on the fly to rework some of our trenching and the change was easily conducted electronically between the team and me. Roger discussed everything at the end with me over the phone since I was away. He also sent me photos of the finished product. After talking to Jorge, I decided to go under the house with him and Juan for a brief period so he could show me where future electrical would be needed to properly connect the pumps they installed. They were courteous to show me how to safely get into the crawl space and then how to exit. Finally, the guys went above and beyond by informing me about a leak point coming from one of our bathrooms and made recommendations for services outside the scope of their work based on what would be best for us. I cannot praise the Groundworks team enough, a really solid bunch of people who are doing home repair the right way. Thank you guys!

I had a really good overall experience with Groundworks. The service they did for us was technically "concrete lifting", although it was just filling voids underneath our porch steps and driveway, since there wasn't any sinking yet. Their salesman/inspector was very thorough in his assessment and worked with us on different options. We were comfortable having him in our home to walk through the process and costs with us. The actual installation team was also very good to work with! We had Joseph, Hunter, and Cameron do the actual poly foam work and they were a great group; very professional but also personable. We are especially happy that they have the yearly check-in option where they come check everything out once a year to make sure there are no issues. The only problem we experienced with Groundworks was that they scheduled the install day with us early on, but never told us a timeframe. I reached out the day before the install to ask when they would be coming, but never got a response and they ended up coming at a time that didn't work for us. So my one suggestion would be that Groundworks needs to have an automated message to tell customers the estimated timeframe of arrival for the installation team THE DAY BEFORE, rather than just the courtesy text 30 minutes before they arrive the day of. But they were able to reschedule a couple of days later and give me a timeframe estimate, so it ended up working out either way.

I live in a home built in 1923. The house has seen many owners who have done many questionable things to the foundation. Weāre putting new floors in our home so we thought it would be the right thing to do to address some issues with the foundation first. Daniel J. came and gave us a quote for the needed work. He took his time and proposed some solid solutions to our foundation issues. He was able to get a crew out to the house in 4 days instead of the 3-4 weeks that he originally had anticipated. Daniel went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. The crew came in on a Tuesday and weāre done by Thursday. Ricardo M, Zach M, Jonathan L, and Alija M all worked hard to get things done! We have a really tight crawlspace and they added steel beams and jacks and completely encapsulated the crawlspace in 3 days. The whole crew were respectful of property and were professional at their jobs. All that said you will pay for the quality, but if a strong foundation is important to you then you get what you pay for. Also they are foundation specialists not framers so if you have framing issues you might need to address those issues separately. All in all happy with the results!

Just had foundation work done by Groundworks. Initially there was some miscommunication with sales and office personnel, but once Earle C. and his team arrived to do the actual work, everything went flawlessly. As a working supervisor, Earle managed a great professional team of David H. and Gillom J. All went to work quickly and independently on their respective tasks. They took extra care cutting cement and digging around water pipes and soft water connections, saving me unnecessary plumbing charges. After the lift was completed, Earle took new readings to confirm the work had been successful and prepared a change order to deduct the cost of work not done. The men thoroughly cleaned up their work areas and left my property in immaculate condition. Earle and his team are a great asset to Groundworks.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mark for my yearly inspection. I had my crawl space encapsulated last year. Mark advised me that I had some water above and below the barrier. I have been dealing with a very difficult builder who does not want to deal with significant grading issues that is causing the water accumulation. Mark gave me his recommendation for how best to deal with diverting water away from my home. He is going to send me a report with pictures that I can forward to my builder. Much easier than trying to remember everything Mark told me which was a lot. It was like chatting with an old friend. He was so friendly and helpful, very knowledgeable. I would recommend Groundworks to everyone. The crew last year was just as wonderful. Thank you so much Mark. It is so great dealing with technicians who love their work

We had been having issues with mold in our home and suspected that the crawlspace could be the culprit. I research companies ans contacted Groundworks. Joe Daleo came over and did a really thorough job of inspecting our property including our crawlspace and foundation. He found that there was moisture on one side of our property due to ground water settling. We decided to move forward with encapsulation after feeling confident with the information that Joe provided. We waited about a month to get started as we had some other home projects we needed to get done first. During that time, Joe maintained communication and I was able to reach him whenever I needed, which was awesome. When the work started, Brandon and his team, including Edgar, Alberto, and Jose all showed up with a smile. Brandon gave me regular updates and pictures of what was going on with the work. Whenever I encountered any of the guys, they were always polite and professional. I know it was difficult work to be underneath my house for eight hours a day and I couldn't understand how they could still be so friendly and genuinely happy. Joe Daleo continue to be in contact with me during the project and came over to check on the work that was being done. Since the encapsulation was completed, we have noticed that the temperature of our home stays more regulated and the musty scents have dissipated. We also noticed that the rooms on the side of the house with the moisture used to feel muggy and now they don't. We are so happy that we chose Groundworks and decided to encapsulate our crawlspace. I highly recommend them!

A recent small earthquake caused enough of a shift to our driveway in Stillwater that, with help from the erosion underneath, it collapsed in the center. I was skeptical that it could be repaired and would be facing the cost of a whole new driveway. Not only did Joe Dawes and Chance Bender get the sunken portion lifted back up and fully supported underneath, but my drive looks better than it did before; most certainly raising my property value. I couldn't be happier with the work that Rene and his crew (Manuel, Manuel, and Ramiro) did fixing the foundation on my house. Great communication and I dare say that the garage was actually cleaner than it was before he arrived. They even set up a plastic sheet to keep the concrete dust away from where it shouldn't be. Daniel Cippone with Groundworks was honestly fantastic to work with. Iāve dealt with a few technicians over the years, but Daniel really stood out right away, he clearly knows his stuff, and you can tell he takes pride in what he does. He was friendly, respectful, and made sure I understood what was going on at every step, which really helped ease the stress of the situation. When my sump pump failed, I was pretty overwhelmed, but he showed up the same day and didnāt leave until everything was fully taken care of so we wouldnāt risk a flooded basement.
