We had our pool deck level and all the cracks sealed. Parts of the pool deck had sunk three to four inches. The results look great, the concrete deck is leveled all the way around the pool. They used a sand to color the joints and it looks fantastic. The process was easy from the start. AJ came and took his time writing up a thorough quote. Other “mud jacking” contractors would just ask for some cell phone photos and throw out a number. It was nice to work with a professional company.

I want a give a shout out to the best crew of workers we’ve had the pleasure of having do work for us!! The crew lead was Clem, who made a very stressful time for us very bearable. His pleasant and upbeat personality set the tone but he made sure we understood every step that was taken to provide protection to our foundation and mitigate any potential problems. He never asked his men to do anything he wasn’t willing to do himself. Garret, Nick, Ray and Warren were so pleasant, polite and hardworking! They were literally running up and down the stairs carrying buckets of cement. They cleaned up daily and were a joy to have. We would highly recommend them and Groundworks to anyone!

Our experience with ground works was pleasant The following crew members helped fix our pre-existing water/flood issues (Sal, Alan and Daniel) we appreciate the level of professionalism and respect that was given coming in and out of our home. One of the first things they did was made sure to cover up/apply plastic over our appliances and belongings that were in the basement to help prevent dust and dirt from getting on our house hold appliances and personal items. Sal made sure to keep me updated throughout the process and was always courteous and always eager to educate me on the process and further ideas to help make sure our system works efficiently. I appreciate you ground works as a whole. their main competitor tried to over charge us and I just want to say this. In fact it’s very simple THRASHER BLOWS!!!! Groundworks beat their price by $5,000.00 and honestly from prior work and amongst the community in Sheldon ia I’ve always heard thrasher over charges and doesn’t even do that great of work. I am so glad I took the time to do my research and found ground works. It goes to show a better price doesn’t always mean poor workmanship. As ground works proved to us that they can do even better! They respect your property and always cleaned up and left it better than they found it when it was time for them to leave. Thank you for a fantastic job and if you’re a manager or the owner reading this please make sure to always put your people first and take care of them. Working with DJ from Groundworks (Select Basement) has been an outstanding experience. After struggling with various contractors who either failed to resolve our water issues or were unprofessional, DJ and his team truly stood out. DJ was incredibly helpful, patient, and responsive throughout the entire process. Our home is a ranch with 225 linear feet around the perimeter, and while other contractors insisted on installing a French drain for the entire length, DJ recommended a more targeted approach. He proposed installing the French drain for just 80 linear feet, focusing only on the areas where water intrusion was likely. His thorough explanations and prompt responses to all our questions were greatly appreciated. The workers arrived on time, maintained a clean work environment, and completed the job as promised. If we could give 10 stars, we would! Groundworks is a highly professional and honest company that didn't try to inflate the scope of work to charge us more. We wholeheartedly recommend them.

This team is fantastic! Mark first came to my home, assessed my needs and proposed a solution. During the preparation stage, Mark and other members of the team stayed in touch. On remediation day 1, Silvino contacted me regarding his arrival time. The excellent communication continued over the 2 days they were in my home. His team was polite, professional and extremely clean. They minimized the intrusion in my life, which isn't easy when you have jackhammers in your basement. Upon their exit, Silvino promised to send photos of the entire process. I highly recommend Groundworks!

Had an old sump pump replaced with a modern system The experience was positive from start to finish. The initial inspector was exceedingly thorough, patient, fair, and able to give detailed yet easy to understand explanations. Luis and his installation team were highly experienced, conscientious, quick, and neat. Every single person I dealt with at Groundworks was good at their job, but on top of that, kind, communicative, and willing to go the extra mile. Highly recommended.

My experience with GroundWorks was AWESOME! Michael came out within a week for an estimate, made a quick and thorough survey, and explained my options with recommendations in detail. Clem, Garrett, and Nick came out, less than 2 weeks later, to install sump pumps in the crawl space and encapsulate the lower portion. Right from the start they had a great attitude, clearly described what they were going to be doing, and attacked the project. They completed the work in half the estimated time! I was given progress reports with detailed pictures each step of the way. After the work was completed, they tested the system and gave me easy to understand information on how to check the status of the components and basic upkeep. I was NOT looking forward to getting this work done as it was a complex, extensive problem I wasn't sure had a good solution. The way they broke it down, communicated, and completed the work so efficiently not only put me at ease, but also made it a joy. The work solved that problem of excess water AND added significant value to the house overall. I'd buy stock in these guys if I could!

Chris was able to give me several different options for resolving the concerns I had. I was very happy with the inspection and the quote. Groundworks just finish my slab repair and I’m elated! From the inspector, Donald Richardson, which did a thorough job going through the procedures to repair the slab. To when the repair crew, Hunter and Jones, came out and Hunter went over what they’re we’re going to do to repair the slab. I was amazing how precise they were in lifting the stab and continually cleaning up after themselves. When they were finished, Hunter and I went through checking all the door alignments and that I’m getting good air flow through all my HVAC vents. I think for the first time since I bought the house 15 years ago all my doors are open and closing correctly now. I have worked with a lot of service companies over my 75 years and this is one of the best companies I have used for service! they was great from start to finish plus the pricing is very competitive. if you have a slab problem you need to call Groundworks! We recently asked Groundworks to look at the water seepage issue which had developed in our basement. Christopher George met with us and recommended that we have a basement waterproofing/drainage system installed and also lift several sections of our driveway which were sloping toward the house. Chris was very knowledgeable and experienced and we felt his analysis of the issues and solutions provided were exactly what was needed. Rene and his team installed the waterproofing/drainage system and did an outstanding job. The team worked quickly and efficiently and completed the job in one day. They were also very careful to keep the mess to a minimum. Ivan handled the concrete leveling of several sections of our driveway and, again, did an outstanding job. Hi, I am an old customer of Select Basement for many years. This is my incredibly happy and satisfied review on the service call by Kenny M. First the backstory. The alarm went off on my battery backup on Wednesday early evening I called Select several times and no one got back to me. I just wanted to know if this was a serious problem. Considering all the rain we were having that week. This was unusual for Select not to return my call in a timely manner from the great service I had received from Select Basement for many years. I explained to the customer service representatives who took my calls who were very professional and tried to help but to no avail no one called me to answer my question. I received a called back Friday morning to set up an appointment for Monday to look at the alarm on the battery backup to the sump pump. I inquired if our annual maintenance check could be performed at the same time and was told yes. Monday morning Kenny called to say “He was on his way”. My appointment was at 8, he arrived 7:45. This was great because I had a 9:00 virtual business meeting. I explained my frustration with Select Basement and merging with Groundworks. Kenny took the time to explain the system changes and how things work now with Groundworks. Kenny proceeded to look at the battery and said it is working properly now. He asked how long we have had it. I said several years he recommend changing the battery, which he did. Kenny also performed the maintenance of flushing the French drain system to make sure that is still working fine. He took several pictures along the way to validate what he was doing. He addressed the dehumidifier that we have, he adjusted it so it would drain into the nearest little french drain hole. Kenny did a great job. He was careful to address all the issues that he thought needed to be addressed. Kenny was very professional and respectful technician leaving no mess behind. Our water has a lot of iron ore, Kenny cleaned the ore around the pump and also offered a recommendation on how to reduce the ore around the pump. He also explained the difference in the service pricing for the warranty offered. I appreciated Kenny taking the time to explain everything that Groundworks now offers to their customers. I know Select Basement and Groundworks merged only a few months back. However, the most important thing is customer service. If I called on Wednesday night thinking I am having an emergency, I should not have to wait for my call to be returned on Friday morning. I text Jason from Select Basement late that evening since no one got back to me right away . Jason responded right away and put my fears to rest and suggested a few options for the alarm shut off that did not work. He said he would pass the issue to the one of the managers. There has to be better response to customer when several calls are made with not even a touch point call back. Thank God by basement was not flooded. Select would have lost a customer.
