Foreman, Tyler Barnhart and his crew were very professional, neat and tidy. I didn't have any mess to clean up besides some dust which I expected. I want to thank Tyler for keeping in touch with me through the process and sending me pictures of the progress, since I couldn't be present during the work. I would also like to thank Bob Massaro, the salesman, for his patience with me and answering all of my questions and even making a revisit to assure that all of my concerns were addressed. Chris Presutti of the Pittsburgh, PA, office did a thorough inspection of the collapsing wall around the in-basement water well in my 123 year old home. He explained everything that he was seeing, and explained that what I actually needed was a contractor to tear out and rebuild the wall. He also gave recommendations of how it could be done effectively. This all at no charge to me even though Groundworks would not be doing the work. If I have any problems in the future, I definitely will be calling Groundworks.

We purchased an annual maintenance plan and that has paid off–John Beck was our Service Tech this visit and he was top-notch. John was very detailed, organized and he spotted a failure with our back up pump and replaced it. He was meticulous with cleaning the system, and didn't leave a spec of dust behind him when he left. We are very satisfied with Baker's.

Dealing with structural issues is such a stressful ordeal, but all the gentlemen we dealt with at Baker's made it so much easier. Bradley Peterson was always available to answer questions and gladly came back more than once to make sure we were comfortable with his proposal and the finished product. The crew that performed the work were terrific. They showed up early and left late. They communicated about everything and best of all was their attitude. Every day for a week these men climbed under our house into a very tiny space and I heard hard work accompanied by laughter throughout the day. I never heard a comment that was negative in any way and they were always smiling. Tysean Lacks, Brennan Cole and Geovanni Medina have the best attitudes and work ethic! Any of these friendly and professional men are welcome at my home anytime. In fact, we intend to request the exact same crew for our work in the future. Thanks guys!

Thank you for being honest and treating me with respect and dignity. As a woman homeowner, calling for home repairs is often one of the most stressful parts of maintaining a house. The fear of being taken advantage of or pressured into unnecessary work is very real and far too common. When I noticed cracks and changes in my foundation, you sent out one of your experts Gavin Melan to come and walk me through the setup, explain how the issue is identified, and show me what the correction process involves. He spoke to me as an intelligent adult — no scare tactics, no talking down to me. We had our basement waterproofed by Baker's. It's been bone-dry since. We did have one piece of equipment fail within a month of the installation, but it was a third party dehumidifier that was just a dud I guess, no fault of Baker's. I texted the project manager about it on a Sunday. I expected a response the following week. He got back to me within the hour. The equipment was removed and replaced within a couple days. Everything great since. I would highly recommend Baker's, but specifically our project manager Nathan Goddard and the head guy on site Daylan. Can't remember his last name, but he's got a long beard and did a great job. Thanks to both of them and the rest of the guys.

He was very kind and walked us through every step of the process. We felt so confident from go that they were going to take care of us. Tyler and his crew were on our job, and they were also amazing. They worked so hard for two days to get the job done in a timely and correct manner. We can't say enough things about not only the employees but the products they offer. We have been in our house for 10 years and have always had a wet basement but now we are able to use it for living space and we are so happy with the whole experience! 10/10 would recommend!

The encapsulation crew—Tysean Lacks, Brennan Cole, and Geovanni Medina—demonstrated exceptional diligence and professionalism, completing the project to a standard that went above and beyond what I anticipated. While the work quality was outstanding, the company’s handling of procedural errors leaves room for improvement. Specifically, when a mistake occurred during the house jacking process—where one jack was omitted from the initial cost estimate—I was disappointed by the company’s approach to resolving the issue. Rather than absorbing the cost of their oversight, they attempted to pass the additional expense onto me, even threatening to cancel the project when I objected. Considering the premium pricing of their services, which often exceeds industry standards, such situations should not arise. To their credit, the company ultimately reduced the additional cost as a resolution, but homeowners investing significant sums—ranging from tens of thousands to six figures—should not bear the burden of internal errors. Overall, while the work itself was exemplary, I encourage the company to re-evaluate its policies for addressing and resolving procedural missteps to better align with the level of service their pricing suggests. That said, based on the overall performance and the final product they delivered, I would highly recommend them.

He offered a few options, I explained my main concern was further loss of surface and tripping hazards for myself or anyone on property. I told him I would trust his professional judgment. And that was a great decision, the result exceeded what I thought would be possible. Josh & Omar kept a clean work area, and communicated with me as things progressed. I had a problem with a basement wall pushing in… Called Baker’s Waterproofing and they sent out Brad Peterson to give us an estimate on the job. Surprisingly, they had a crew here the very next day. Cale, Joel, Shay, and Will did a fantastic job inside and out. They dug a 4 foot trench and mounted six wall anchors along the problem wall. They were all polite and professional, and did a great cleanup job before leaving. If you have any type of basement problem, Baker’s is the way to go.

We contacted Baker's before we made an offer on a bigger home. The mines had gone underneath, and we wanted to put the work into having a bigger home. Unfortunately, the offer on the home was not accepted, but the CFI who quoted the job was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He made me safe knowing that the home could be saved by stabilizing the foundation. We are still in the market for a bigger home and if I need any work completed, I will be calling Baker's. They really made me feel secure that I could keep my family safe if any of these situations occurred at my current home or any future homes.

They found the source of leak that was different than what I originally thought and explained the issue to my plumber. They left the area cleaned and removed all debris. I would highly recommend them. They explained how the sump pump worked as well as the backup battery and what I should do if there was an issue. The gentleman (Bob Massaro) that explained the services that I needed, and price did an excellent job showing me the areas of issues, and how the Baker's would fix the issues. He answered all my questions and was available. Since we ran into an unexpected issue, he came to my house during the work, which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend Baker's Waterproofing.

For two years I have tried to figure things out myself and have spent a lot of money with independent individuals without resolution to the problem. I decided that I was ready for professional help, even if it meant spending extra money because what I was doing was not working. Wendell W. came to look at my water issue. He did an excellent job of explaining what needed to be done to correct it. Cale, Shay and Joel came to start the waterproofing project and discovered that the back wall of my house was bowing. Martin came to evaluate what needed done. The team stabilized my back wall and also did the interior work to fix the water issue. Installing the stabilizing bars wasn't easy due to so much rock. The guys worked very hard (they had to rent another machine) and got the job done in one day!! The guys cleaned up the inside and left the outside looking great!! I look forward to seeing the system do its job. I would recommend Bakers Waterproofing! Thanks
