The sales and service persons are professional and take time to listen to me. The first time there were some damages to the irragation and they came back to fix it. The second time was even better (Matthew K, Fernado A, Mike L, David L and Elyas V, Five stars from me). Everything went smooth. The crews were efficient and friendly. Both projects were completed as estimated. Even the price is higher than other companies but the technology and materials are different. For long term, I think I made a right decision to use GW.

Mark Teal spent 2+ hours at my home thoroughly measuring all foundation changes with gas pressure equipment. They were the only company to do this of the four companies I got estimates from. Then he came back for another hour to explain to me the findings and recommendations for repairs. Groundworks was also the only company to tell me that I can monitor the need for exterior steel piers for now, and only need polyurethane foam for now. I am very impressed with Mark’s professionalism and knowledge. I am also very impressed with Groundworks as an employee- owned company and the quality of materials they use. They are not the cheapest estimate I got, but I feel most confident about their findings and work they have recommended.

Most important name to remember is CODY . Last year I had to have screw jacks installed on one side of my house (split level home). The groundworks crew (previously without Cody and Erin) was mehhh. They tried to upsell and say I needed an additional 4k of work more than I already agreed upon and actually needed. Nope just do the original work. So a year later in comes CODY for warranty inspection due to a hump in my floor. This guy is phenomenal, on time, polite, explains everything with pictures. What a relief to get customer service like this, it's almost like watching an old time movie where everything was perfect. They did offer upgrades, but they weren't pushy about it, I respect that. As a first-time homebuyer, this was my first experience dealing with a foundation issue. Initially, I picked Groundworks for the free foundation inspection but contracted them because of the pricing and the people that did the inspection. I had the pleasure of working with Kristra and Derek for the initial inspection and they were wonderful. Kristra was my primary inspector, with Derek supporting as her manager, and together they made the entire process far less stressful than I expected. After the inspection, we discussed the underlying issues and then came up with a solution that fits my budget. Throughout the discussion, both Krista and Derek were friendly and knowledgeable, which gave me the confidence needed to trust their company to contract them. Before the day the foundation repair was scheduled, the Groundworks team coordinated with utility personnel to have the sewer and water lines properly marked so the foundation crew would not accidentally damage them. This was something I did not expect them to handle, but I was very glad they did. On the day of the foundation work, the team gave me a courtesy morning call to make sure I was ready for their arrival. Tyler and DT worked together to fill voids in my foundation and repair the cracks in my garage. They did everything they promised and more. The pictures below speak for themselves and show the great quality of their work. Tyler and DT were efficient, kept me informed about what they were doing at all times, and were very professional. Overall, the experience left me feeling informed, confident, and supported. I’m grateful for the honesty, transparency, and respect shown throughout the inspection, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Groundworks—especially Kristra and Derek—to anyone needing foundation services.

You will be satisfied with your experience! We recently completed a large foundation project with Groundworks in Edmonds, WA — a roughly $70,000 job involving permits, engineering reports, and significant structural work. Given the scope and importance of the project, I wanted to share a complete and thoughtful perspective. Overall Experience From intake through execution, the experience was strong. The consultation was detailed, the proposed solution was clearly explained, and the permitting and engineering process — which took a couple of months — was handled smoothly with consistent updates. The crew worked efficiently, and the quality of the foundation work itself was solid. The Consultation & Planning Our home sits on a steep slope, and an addition at the back had begun to settle. Groundworks sent out Jerry for the initial consultation, and he was excellent. Jerry was knowledgeable, energetic, and charismatic, and he took the time to clearly walk us through the problem, the proposed solutions, and what a job of this scale would realistically involve. He explained the engineering considerations in plain language, answered questions thoroughly, and helped us understand both the risks and the long-term benefits of doing the work properly. From an intake and planning standpoint, we felt confident moving forward. The Project The scope of work was extensive and involved foundation reinforcement along the entire back of our house, as well as drilling and post installation outside of the foundation to properly support a failing rear addition. Because much of this work needed to be performed beneath and adjacent to our back deck, deck access was required. We discussed these access needs ahead of time, and I even removed the top decking myself to reduce labor costs, based on our shared understanding of what would be necessary. A Miscommunication (and What Happened Next) While I was out of town during part of the work, a miscommunication occurred on site regarding what deck changes were permitted. As a result, the deck was dismantled more extensively than any of us had anticipated. This was understandably frustrating — not because anyone did something wrong, but because the situation was genuinely complex and confusing. It was a conversation that perhaps should have been extremely clear about what was happening, but it wasn't — and it wasn't the fault of any single party. Once the issue was identified and elevated, senior leadership stepped in, and this is where Groundworks truly distinguished itself. Leadership Response & Resolution We ultimately worked directly with Nathan Malsch, the General Manager, who was professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to making things right. Initially, we discussed a 50/50 split on replacement lumber for rebuilding the deck. Nathan went well beyond that agreement. Groundworks purchased more than enough lumber for a full deck rebuild, had it delivered directly to our home, and even provided a Milwaukee impact driver/screwgun set along with Milwaukee bits to help with reconstruction! That level of ownership was frankly unexpected and deeply appreciated. Foundation work can be expensive, but it can help to lessen the bite when you deal with good people. Groundworks of Grand Junction, CO recently completed a significant stabilization project for us. The crew foreman was an impressive young man named Talon (yes, like the bird claw). He and his crew got after it, completing the project before the scheduled finish date. He was knowledgable, personable, helpful, and clearly interested in doing the job right. I also dealt with Groundworks' service tech Jeremy Brown before and after the project. He surveyed the situation and worked with his people to develop a stabilization plan that was approved by my structural engineer. After the stabilization work was finished and had a few months to settle in, Jeremy retuned recently to re-measure floor elevations to see if they were where they were meant to be, and everything checked out. Jeremy is a good guy to work with; I trusted him and was always pleased to see him show up at the job. Kudos to both Talon and Jeremy who inspired confidence in the work Groundworks performed at our house.
