We had pretty extensive movement in our foundation, and Brandon was knowledgeable and took the time to carefully explain all of our options and how each would look. He and his crew were communicative and professional. Our biggest fear was that our new kitchen granite counters would crack in the lifting, but Brandon and his crew were extremely mindful of the situation, taking extra care and nothing cracked. We had a fantastic experience with Bay Area Underpinning, lifting our foundation four and a half inches of our old 1958 Napa house! After careful review of several contractors, we chose Bay Area Underpinning and so glad we did! The entire process was smooth from the sales engineer estimate to the completion of the job, the communication was outstanding all along from day to day and ourblift was a big job with a full week of labor intensive work. I especially want to thank Foreman Cody Summers, Co-Foreman Ken Hamlin, and Installer Nikolas Klein for their outstanding work and customer service! They are the best and ensured that I was happy with the progress and completely satisfied. I also want to thank Superintendent Kevin Gaeden for his outstanding communication! My wife and I are completely satisfied and happy with the outcome! It was a great choice with great value after the job was complete! We would hire Bay Area Underpinning all over again! We had Daniel come out to take a look at our foundation to see if there were any issues that needed to be fixed under our home (a second opinion). After our first inspection we were told there were numerous issues that needed to be fixed that surely would have cost us thousands. We were considering the Earthquake Brace and Bolt program so the first inspection was a recommended foundation company through the EBB program. Daniel came out and took his time measuring the house on the exterior and interior. He was super meticulous and took settling measurements and also went under our home and took photos of the foundation. He sat with us after and explained everything to us. Turns out our foundation is stable and not needing any work. Daniel was super professional and knows his trade very very well. He was very honest. I now have a company I would call back in a heart beat if I needed to have any foundational work done. I will also recommend them to any neighbors that need this kind of company. The estimate was free as well and Daniel also had no hesitation crawling under the house on a 101 degree day to check things out. 5 star company here. Do not hesitate and call them! -Nicole San Ramon

Our house is 85 years old and has some cracking on the stucco, so I called for a free inspection to see if the problems were something we need to be concerned about. Daniel, our inspector, was prompt and friendly and explained everything he was doing and seeing as he took measurements and inspected the foundations. He said that while there are things we can do for earthquake retrofitting (and he did recommend a separate company for that if we wanted to do it) our problems were mostly cosmetic and nothing to worry about. He also took his measurements to be scanned in at his office and kept on file so that we can have him back out for another inspection in the future to compare, again, purely at our discretion. He was respectful, friendly, and straightforward and answered all of my questions. I'd definitely recommend them.

I recommend Bay Area Underpinning for an important reason: honesty. After careful inspection, their agent, Richard, told me the truth, which was that my crawlspace was fine, that I had no problem with moisture or settling. And then he took the time to show me why. He could have tried to sell me on doing a lot of work, but he didn't. This kind of honesty is impressive! Call Bay Area Underpinning to inspect your crawlspace. You can trust them. If they say it needs work, hire them to do it. I am almost sorry I couldn't!

We have a long horizontal crack on one side of our external wall. Although I had serious concern there is a foundation issue, Micheal Silva from Bay Area Underpinning came in and did thorough inspection with detail measurements and drawing and concluded that we don't have a foundation issue with great honesty. He also further inspected from the crawspace entrance and the stucco to let me know what's the potential issue outside the foundation concern. His professionalism, diligence, honesty, patience and extra step to help in figuring out the problem are truly appreciated.

The team I worked with at BAU was great. I hired them to repair some minor vertical and horizontal foundation cracks that were found in a recent general home inspection. Everyone who came out was upbeat, professional, punctual, thorough, and highly detailed. Hunter came out first to check the entire foundation and give a free estimate. They then split the work up into two dates, and each crew was great. Michael and James came out first for the initial round, and then Alexander and Gabe came out to wrap up the last few areas. The guys were always on time, which is greatly appreciated. Both repair teams also did their own additional checks of the surrounding areas, also greatly appreciated. They were also able to provide before and after pictures, and were respectful of the property.

Everything looks good after the work was done. I can finally close my bathroom door. I appreciated the fact that the foreman Erick Baez, went over what was done as they were done. I also appreciated that the two installers Manny Erickson and Jesus Villagomez also communicated with me after they were done to reassure that they did a proper job installing the jacks. Very good to know how the process was going. Great job.
