Earlier today, Mike Gold from Groundworks inspected our sump pump and seal lining that was installed last year. Despite a long drive to the mountains from Denver, Mike was right on time. In fact, Mike thoughtfully called beforehand to see if ok to come about an hour earlier, and texted me when he was 5 mins away. Mike’s demeanor was both professional and pleasant. Mike did a full inspection and test of the system, as well as re-attached part of our crawlspace seal lining to our wall, in 30 minutes. Mike showed me photos, and even looked for potential mouse droppings at my request. For our future inspections, I’m going to ask for Mike. Groundworks is fortunate to have him on their team. Big project in our basement, and it couldn’t have gone better! Luis, Ramon, and Rodrigo are experts at what they do and are true professionals! Installing 2 sump pumps, a water barrier, cutting a trench in the concrete for a French drain, and burying the exit pipe outside to make it as indiscreet as possible in the front of our historic home. Their communication throughout the entire project was excellent- they filled us in on and showed us what they were doing every step of the way. They treated our home like it was their own, taking extra time to make sure the work looks excellent, cleaning up after themselves, and even going the extra mile to blow all of the leaves off of the sidewalk in front of our house to not track them in! We couldn’t recommend Luis and his crew enough!

From the moment I started talking with them it was clear that customer service and professionalism is their top priority. Kalen the project manager arrived right on time, and was incredibly thorough in inspecting my home and spending time with me to make sure I understood his findings. Often when I’ve had basic assessments it’s with an estimator who will have no connection to the work, and I value the fact that Groundworks sends the person who would manage a possible project for the initial inspection. We have been a customer of Rod Martin and now Groundworks for several years. Our initial Fun started with a complete encapsulation of our crawl space and installation of sump pump. Later work included wall anchors, a basement perimeter drain and installation of additional drain pipe under a new basement pad. Big expense over the years but results have been extremely positive!! Annual service has been great. Today, due to a prior job going longer than expected, our serviceman Mike was delayed. Instead of having to re-schedule, Matt Davidson came out to perform the work on his way home. We really appreciated his timeliness, thoroughness and explanations. Ground Works should be proud of Matt's involvement and expertise.

Groundworks sent an excellent crew headed by Gabriel Amaya with Juan, Mauro and John. Their first action was to ensure the work area of the basement would be dust free by enclosing the area with plastic. They were familiar with the bentonite clay soils below and had proper equipment to install new pile foundations and the two columns for support of the upper floor. I was impressed with Groundworks' versatility in handling the adverse soil conditions and their neat work habits.

We are very happy with the service provided by the entire Groundworks team. Our inspector Nick was thorough and extremely patient with us as we worked through the various water related issues and solutions. We appreciated his knowledge and detailed explanations. On install day we had two fabulous crews that did the work. Franciso, Rene and Carlos replaced our sump pump and had the super tough job of digging the trench for the discharge line. They were on time, professional, courteous and made sure everything was left neat and clean. The concrete lift crew of Manuel and Carlos also did a great job. Everyone did such a good job of communicating expectations and keeping us informed as work progressed. I would highly recommend Groundworks to my friends and neighbors.
