Ohio Basement Authority out of Twinsburg, Ohio repaired my sinking foundation this spring. One corner of my brick ranch had sunken 3 inches and had opened up gaps in the brick mortar of over 3/4" over one window and a door. OBA came out and sunk 10 foundation piers and raised the entire corner of my house, back to its original position. All of their workers were extremely professional, efficient, communicative, and were very careful to protect anything of that might get damaged in construction. The work crews, staffed by Alex, Steve. Dante, Mike and Jason were courteous, industrious and proficient at their jobs. They seemed to know what the other worker needed before he even asked for help! I couldn't be a more satisfied customer! I would recommend this team to anyone needing this kind of work on their foundation. Tim Kreuzer Columbia Station

We contracted with Foundation Support Specialists (Groundworks) to repair our 1985 driveway which had several cracks and sections that had sunk or receded by up to 3 inches. Patrick made the inspection and explained very well what they could do to raise the sections and how the project could be financed with a 5 year guarantee. David Sanchez and his partner Karl arrived on the appointed day and began work by drilling holes in the concrete and then injecting polyurethane to raise the driveway sections to be level. They then filled the cracks and joints with a rubber sealant as well as the drill holes. They also leveled the adjoining sidewalk in the same way. David returned in 2 days to adjust one small section of the sidewalk and overlay the sealant with more of the same material and smooth over the sealant so it was level with the driveway surface. Both David and Karl did an excellent job and explained very well what they would do to correct the problems. David also did an excellent job on finishing the sealant on the second day. We highly recommend their professional work and thoughtful aesthetics. We are completely satisfied with the end result. Their supervisor Kazvin also followed up by phone to be sure we were satisfied with the work. Thanks

We had a garage floor that had a corner dropping. I also had a toolshed with a similar problem. Finally, we had a poorly laid driveway that had horrible cracks. Groundworks created a plan for the work. The garage floor was fully lifted, the shed is level again and the cracks are sealed in the driveway to give us a little longer before having to have a whole new one poured. The crew were professional. We had to have the job done in parts due to snow on the driveway. They were great about helping us schedule. Very happy to recommend them.

Wow. What can I say about this company. My father passed away recently and left us his house, which needs major foundation repairs. It’s all my Dad had left to leave his kids, and his grandkids. So with the life insurance he left, we decided the foundation needs repaired. Went online and found Groundworks. The first day I met with Matt Gumpert, for a free quote. He went over EVERYTHING in perfect detail. In the beginning, he made sure I understood everything about Groundworks and what they do. How they operate, and why he does what he does. He spent well over an hour in my crawl space making sure to note every detail along the way. He was in my dining room for quite a long time, going over options of what needs fixed and what we could afford, and honestly, he felt like a part of the family. He was totally professional, but also has a way about him of putting you totally at ease with a stranger. Never ever put any pressure on me at all, and didn’t use any scare tactics to push me into going with their company. At one point, our permit got rejected by an engineer and he spent all day sorting out the issue and really eased all of my concerns. He got it to a geotechnical engineer instead and there were no more issues. Unfortunately in the process of waiting for the city to approve permits, some unexpected financial issues hit us and we had to put the project on hold. I contacted Matt and he didn’t make me feel bad. He totally understood how hard things have been for us without my Dad around, and worked hard to get us most of our deposit back as well. Even though we did not get the project done, in the future when I have the funds, I will definitely be contacting Matt Gumpert at Groundworks again for all of my foundation needs. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with the project, or with my Dads legacy.

When I scheduled an Appt I knew who was coming out, the date and time and I received confirmation while I was talking to the receptionist. The Foundation Professional was Codi M. When he arrived he was prompt professional and very understanding. He asked us to show him in and around the house 🏠 what we felt was the "possible foundation issue" . This is very important to us Seniors. He was very pleasant and showed concern. Then he explained how their process works and what he does and he went straight to work. He used laser applications and tape and computer. He started in the house, then went outside the house, then he went under the house in the crawl space. He took pictures. Then the "verdict". He explained all his findings and told us what the cost would be if we decide to go with them. No pressure just straight forward. We were very pleased with the honesty and the professionalism of Codi M. With that being said, Of course we chose this company they absolutely made our home a priority and we highly recommend them if you are considering foundation solutions that work.

You never know if a big company is just telling you what you want to hear. When your house is starting to fall apart, big ticket items like fixing your foundation is scary. For a moment, we weren’t sure if we went with the right company. And then Jeremy Elston showed up. It felt like the first time someone was telling us the truth and not scamming us. He was so incredibly thorough and respectful of our home. He took his time and explained to us what he was doing and why. Foundation repairs aren’t always one and done. When the time came to make some adjustments, Jeremy was back and walking us through next steps. We feel confident in the work done and its impact to our home. Jake took a good amount of time to make sure we understood the process that would occur, exactly what was included in the quote and what they could encounter that would incur additional costs. Brad, who was the leader of the work crew, was exceptional in every way! We especially appreciated his transparency and the way he communicated with us throughout the entire process. He was courteous and professional and assured our questions and concerns were thoroughly addressed. He and his workmates, Victor and Aiden took great care with our property and were so respectful. We hired Groundworks (then called Bay Area Underpinning) to install piers at our house back in 2021 to correct some settling that had occurred over the past several decades. We were very impressed by the speed and professionalism of their crew and the company's great customer support. The piers really improved our house, and they have given us peace of mind as the rainy seasons become increasingly severe. We just had the company do a check-up inspection at our house, and we were thrilled to learn that our house has been rock solid since the pier installation. Their technician Ashton was highly knowledgeable and personable, and we appreciated his detailed explanations of his findings and potential improvements we could make in the future (and his no-pressure demeanor). Huge thanks to Phil for visiting us in a weekend and quickly finding out and explaining to us what exactly the water issue was in our basement. Logan, Holden, Clarence and Taí did a stellar work building our basement’s drainage system and installing the pump. Their Team worked tirelessly and finished the work in 2 days as promissed. They found an issue with an unexpexted hídden wall found behind the drywall that could have been a barrier to installing the draining system. That’s when dealing with true experts show its importance! They quickly provided an alternative and service has been completed perfectly, on time, and within budget. Len, Jose, and Craig did a basement repair for us the day after Snowpocalypse 2025. The job was originally slated to take two days. I'm frankly amazed at what they pulled off. First of all, they showed up bright and early at 7:30a. Then they did a great job in running plastic to keep the floors clean and separate off the rest of the house from the dust. They had to work around a very inconveniently placed sewer pipe, and managed it with no issues. Additionally, Len ran almost 100' of trench under a fence in a foot of snow when it was 20 degrees outside…and he was upbeat and happy to do it. They were done with the entire job, including inspection, in less than 7 hours. A lot of folks talk about "kids these days," but these three young men did a fantastic job with great attitudes in a horrible environment. I cannot recommend this crew highly enough.
