He explained that the results show my foundation was in great shape, instead, my home had some heave in the slab. Had an emergency water pipe leak with water running into the basement where Groundworks had already installed a sump pump and drainage system. The pump clogged up with mud and wouldn’t work. Josh Moreno responded and worked so hard getting the system apart and cleaned out. Unfortunately he couldn’t finish until we got someone out to dig up the front yard and replace main water line. Josh was here first thing Monday morning and finished cleaning the system out, tested everything, and got everything working again. We are so thankful he responded to our home and took care of it. Thanks Josh!

He reassured me that the main issue could be easily handled through my home warranty company, which gave me great peace of mind. The Consultation & Planning: Ishmael conducted a thorough evaluation of the site and provided a clear, comprehensive recommendation for a perimeter drainage system, a sump pump with battery backup, and dual dehumidifiers. The value offered was excellent, and the scheduling process with Nikki was efficient, with a crew dispatched within just two weeks. The crew arrived punctual, professional, and ready to work. I was particularly impressed by Foremen Roger and Shane, who took the initiative to redesign the drainage layout on-site to better suit my crawlspace's specific needs—integrating four total pumps at no additional cost for hardware. Despite Upland's notoriously difficult terrain—including unforeseen large boulders—Foremen Roger and Jacob, alongside the dedicated crew (Juan, Santos, Armando, Isaac, Paul, Javier, and the Adrian), managed the project with incredible skill. I first contacted Groundworks because I had a smell in my basement that I was pretty sure was wet/dampness related. It was the first smell to hit my nose when I opened the door. It was embarassing. I called Groundworks to see if they might have a solution. Warren came to do the initial inspection. He discovered that a pipe was broken in my crawlspace & recommended that I have a plumber come to fix it. The smell noticeably subsided after it was fixed. I had already decided that I would proceed with Warren's recommendations (waterproofing, installation of a sump pump & adding a dehumidifier) because I wanted the 'old basement' smell gone. The team (Ler, Htoo, EhTee & TaMla) that came to do the work were exceptional, imo. Ler let me know that the job might run over the original planned 2 days as there was some additional work because of the concrete was poured. He said they would try to get it in two, but he wanted to make me aware. He was very informative, asking me to take a look before their meal break & prior to leaving before the day so I could ask any questions. Very good communication skills. I would highly recommend Groundworks & this team that worked with me. Thank you!

Yes, the jackhammering and dust were a bit overwhelming, but it's a small price to pay for the fantastic results I received. My basement has never been in better shape, and for that, I am immensely grateful. Thank you! Regarding the annual maintenance service, Archie, my technician, is an absolute gem. He epitomizes professionalism in every sense of the word. Archie is incredibly thorough with his work, never in a rush, and always takes the time to point out things I should keep an eye on. Thanks to his keen eye and expertise, we managed to catch an issue with my water heater early on, saving me from potential headaches down the road. I can't emphasize enough how much peace of mind the annual maintenance contract brings me. Outstanding service and professionalism. Well thought-out plan, seamless execution, and genuinely nice people. Tom was knowledgeable about the foundation products and developed a solution to a complex problem. Talon and his crew stabilized the perimeter, installed I-beams under the floor joists with 14" of clearance, and left no trace of trauma in the landscape. The results are much better than we expected. Especially for an 80 year old house. Plus a transferable lifetime warranty. 💯 would recommend

Big thanks and shoutout to Aaron Flowers, Andrew Welty, and Carlos Gutierrez who flew in from the Denver, CO groundworks location to address my encapsulation job in California! All three were complete professionals while completing the project. They treated our home with respect (placed plastic to protect our floors and walls as needed), cleaned up after each work day, and kept us informed on how the job was progressing. We went with encapsulation due to each time we had heavy rain, the crawl space would get standing water/muddy (it comes up from the ground). Unfortunately we had a heavy rain storm the first couple days of the encapsulation project, and as such the crawl space turned into a muddy mess. Aaron, Andrew and Carlos would come out of the crawl space looking like they had just completed a mud wrestling match. They kept a positive attitude, and pushed through the challenges of the muddy crawl space to get the project completed. Thank you Groundworks for sending such a great crew to complete my project!

Once the permit was approved, Groundworks was eager to get started. Fortunately, we had a pretty dry January. I am glad that the crew finished the work in under four weeks (single level home, 1333 square feet, with a challenging crawl space). The foreman, Estevan Jimenez, managed the crew, morning to night. A variety of skilled workers contributed, including a lot of soil management. Some extra features were added as they were needed, like french drains along the interior perimeter. No pipes were broken, some cracks appeared, as expected, and many of the doors work better than before. I feel confident that we have a good chance of preserving this old house for many years to come.

The Poly crew was 1 day, took the time to communicate the entire process, and everything done exceptionally well – Guiles and Christian were OUTSTANDING, assisted in completing the final billing process and I would absolutely recommend the poly install of this process – Now pay them for the 5 stars. This has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with part that eventually takes you to this last phase. For complete transparency, their PMs and the GM have attempted to work with us and reduced the overall cost very reasonably. But its not only $$, its my f-ing time !!! Today is Week 3 with the garage loaded with dirt and cement dust covering everything – and our yard was DESTROYED. So polycrew ABSOLUTELY did a great job – God bless you if you reach that point. I'm guessing by asking customers to rate the 2 phases separately, they get to cook the books and bump up all the terrible 1-star reviews. It used to be called "cooking the books" – but thats for you to determine….Wendy need not reply with some lame statement about GW standards or unacceptable etc. (My two ratings total six and you can excuse away your Yelp 3 star average)

Waterproofing of my basement was a great experience due to the team of Richard S (foreman), and crew Zach M and Uriel V. They arrived on time and were helpful, patiently explaining things as they worked. They kept the work area tidy. I was doubtful that they could complete this big job in one day, but they did and left the work site clean. Preplanning for the job was thorough aided by salesman, Shawn Lee, and scheduler, Ciera. Mike and Jackson are the best in Colorado for Foundation work and I can see what they earned that reputation. As an owner of 8 rental properties I highly recommend using Groundworks.
