After a careful evaluation by Ben, Chelsea and Tyler came to our home to rectify the issues identified. They were professional educational and successful. We needed to get some piers installed to stabilize but also correct some settling on our decades old house. We hired Groundworks (Bay Area Underpinning at the time). They were more competitive than others in terms of price, but at the same time the team they sent out was super experienced and very professional. We signed on in Jan, and they initially gave us a May timeframe but we were able to get a late March date. It seems they are pretty booked out, which makes a lot of sense to me. The team they send over (David, Russell, Enrique) were super professional and friendly. They answered all the questions we had and communicated the progress/status updates all the time. There were definitely a few surprises as they started the dig, but the team was able to tackle them all and keep the project on schedule.

We had our pool deck level and all the cracks sealed. Parts of the pool deck had sunk three to four inches. The results look great, the concrete deck is leveled all the way around the pool. They used a sand to color the joints and it looks fantastic. The process was easy from the start. AJ came and took his time writing up a thorough quote. Other “mud jacking” contractors would just ask for some cell phone photos and throw out a number. It was nice to work with a professional company.

I had the pleasure of working with Bill (William) Brunson, he was very knowledgeable of the whole process and even gave me tips on how to fix a flooding issue that I've had for years that no one was able to give me recommendations for. He's very easy to talk to and his aura is comforting enough that I didn't have any issues with him walking around my house unattended because typically I follow everyone that is in my house because I have trust issues. I like that he explained everything to me including showing me the signs outside that indicated that my foundation has some issues. I would 100% be comfortable recommending him to anyone. Although I don't like the fact that I have to spend money that I don't want to at least he made me feel good about it and was able to recommend several financing options.

They provided me with great communication filling me in daily with the work that was completed and what the next steps were. They put in hard work to complete everything in a timely manner. They did an excellent job on not damaging the existing structure and not damaging any pipes during the lift. We hired Groundworks to help us fix a leak caused by surface/groundwater. Howard arrived the same day I called in to request a consultation. He was very patient and explained to my mother and I what needed to be done. When Ryan, Wyatt, and the rest of the team arrived, they were quick to realize that adjustments to the original plan needed to be made and quickly pivoted with a new plan. The crew worked tirelessly digging trenches and laying down pipes underneath the house in a small crawlspace. I appreciate all their hard work! The project was completed in 3 days. Ryan (Foreman) took the time to show us pictures of the work from start to finish and patiently explain the how's and why's of the process. Truly appreciate the entire team!! THANK YOU!! They deserve a bonus!

i've had Groundworks out to my home because my main support beam separated from the ceiling. They came and lifted my house up 2 inches. Another appointment was made for all the cement work that needed. To be done around the foundation. I was having a problem with Water. Puddlonh on the bottom of my step. Ivan and Julio were just here and I was told that my railing would have to be removed. Which was upsetting because I need the railing to help me get up the stairs, but Julio and Ivan were able to just saw through the metal at the base raise up that square of concrete and cemented where the difference was from them lifting that particular area. They were very courteous, very professional and explained to me in detail what they were doing. Best of all they were able to salvage my handrail so that saves me money on having someone install a new one and purchase a New one!! They arrived at the time they stated they would be here and finish the job with in 45 minutes. I would recommend Groundwork to anyone needing foundation problems resolved. Best of all from the salesman to the receptionist who answers the phone and the actual workers doing the job have been awesome. every interaction I've had has been with kindness and resolving any issues. The soil under my house has always been damp in the winter, but this past year I actually had standing water. The hardworking Groundworks crew came out and created a sump pump system for me. They had to do a lot of digging, but I had very little to clean up after they left. The foreman, Ryan, was very professional and good with his crew. He answered any questions I asked and showed me photos as the work progressed. I am also pleased with the attentiveness of the inspector, Leo. He answered my calls right away and made the whole process go smoothly. I asked for a follow up inspection after AMZ Electric (and other great company) installed the outlets for the pumps. No questions, Ashton came out the next day and checked out everything.

These people are very professional and thorough and pleasant to have around. Both Rob, who did the inspection and gave me the estimate, and the crew of Juan, Eric, and Derek arrived right on time or even a little early. They explained everything to me clearly and thoroughly. They let me know when they expected to finish and provided photos and video of what they found under my house and the work that they did there They completed the work in only two days rather than they expected three days. They cleaned up after themselves to perfection. They took an interest in my house and in me. They even left some materials that they thought I might need in the future if I had further work done by other people I can’t think of anything that they could have done to improve my experience.

Everyone we interacted with here provided exceptional service. Aaron was very thorough in his explanations and measuring. He explained the suggested plans to us and answered all of our questions. Prince and Cleveland were very communicative on when they would be arriving and completed the work very quickly. The porch is in much better shape, and they managed to close gaps that were about 1 in down to less than a centimeter with minimal damage to the existing structure. I will definitely be using them for any future structural work that needs to be done.

I was dealing with a nightmare scenario: an extreme musty smell in my basement and actual standing water seeping in from the crawlspace. I reached out to Groundworks, and it was the best decision I could have made for my home. The process started with their inspector, Robert Dillon, who was incredibly professional. He pinpointed the high moisture levels and standing water, measuring the moisture on my basement walls to ensure nothing was missing. We settled on a comprehensive plan involving a basement gutter system, three sump pump systems, and dehumidifiers. When it came time for production, Nikki from scheduling was on top of it, sending out Foremen Roger, Zack, and their crew (Juan, Mikey, Kai, and Derek). This team is the definition of hardworking. Roger walked me through the entire plan before starting. He actually noticed that one of the walls didn't need the gutter system after all. Instead of just doing unnecessary work, he removed that portion and did me a huge favor by removing some wallboard in exchange. The crew was respectful, kept the workspace clean, and the installation quality was top-notch. From the moment Roger explained the plan, I knew I was in good hands. I am beyond happy with the results. If you want a team that actually takes care of your home and acts with honesty, I definitely recommend Groundworks!

But through the years of experience, Isaac S. and Matthew W did a magnificent job. I cannot recommend these two men more. And considering other people's driveways I've seen who have had other companies do this work, the quality of the job I received is a thousand times better. Excellent work! I found Groundworks on Google and after reading through all the reviews, I decided to hire them. I live up north in Ontario, CA in a Century Home and after a very intense snowy winter, water was starting to seep into the basement. The snow was melting quickly and we were receiving a lot of rain. I was thrilled to have a rep come out within the week to assess the situation and provide an on the spot quote. They seemed knowledgeable and made me feel confident that they would get the job done well. Work began only about a week or 2 weeks after. The crew sent to complete the job were fantastic! Adebayo & Vandyke were excellent to work with. The project was given an estimate of 2 days from start to finish, but they actually finished in 1 day! Throughout the day they kept me in the loop and had me approve each new step. They also brought the necessary mats and plastic to keep the site clean; everything was sealed in so that dust was not entering the rest of the house, which was a big concern of mine. Once the work was done, they spent quite awhile cleaning up, the place was left in great condition. They actually forgot to give me the manual for the new sump pump, however a few days later Adebayo & Vandyke came out of their way to drop that off for me; now that's service! I would absolutely hire again or recommend Groundworks, they did an exceptional job.
