Professional, Honest, and Hardworking Crew! Our floors were sagging dramatically, so we called Groundworks. They sent Michael out to inspect the issues, and after he took the elevations, we initially decided on four IntelliJacks and signed the same day. Roughly two weeks later, the crew arrived ready to work. The foreman, Roger, and crew members Juan and Santos did a thorough walkthrough and realized the home actually needed more than the original plan to be truly stable. We agreed on installing 24 feet of beam and six total jacks to support the entire house. They gave us a great price for the additional work, so we went for it. The crew even stayed late to ensure there wouldn't be any further delays with the project. These guys are amazing! I highly recommend Roger’s crew and Groundworks for any home foundation repair. Then, he went into a crawl space to inspect 30 screw jacks and push piers. He fixed squeaking noise underneath the floor in the living room and the master bathroom during the visit. Just had foundation work done by Groundworks. Initially there was some miscommunication with sales and office personnel, but once Earle C. and his team arrived to do the actual work, everything went flawlessly. As a working supervisor, Earle managed a great professional team of David H. and Gillom J. All went to work quickly and independently on their respective tasks. They took extra care cutting cement and digging around water pipes and soft water connections, saving me unnecessary plumbing charges. After the lift was completed, Earle took new readings to confirm the work had been successful and prepared a change order to deduct the cost of work not done. The men thoroughly cleaned up their work areas and left my property in immaculate condition. Earle and his team are a great asset to Groundworks.

I was very happy with every part of their service. Their sales woman was a really good communicator, very clear, knowledgeable and thorough about what they were going to do for our crawl space. Rosalino and his crew were amazing, and made sure that we were happy with his work, and definitely has a measure twice, cut once kind of mentality. Before getting started, he carefully discussed what he was going to do to make sure it was what I expected. I couldn't have asked for a better foreman. He notified us immediately when unexpected things happened (leaks in our plumbing), and helped mitigate it until I was able to get a plumber to fix things. Plus the whole crew was super polite and friendly. I've noticed the air in my house seems to cause me less allergic reactions, right after they were done.

Krista did a wonderful job. She started outside and had me show her my areas of concern and explained what was going to happen next with her inspection. Once the inspection was completed she showed me the areas that actually were an issue and the areas that were fine. She had created a diagram that went over what needed to be fixed and how each area would need be fixed since some were different. This was great for me because in one smaller area I was going to need an additional lower level of support. She explained what the lower level of support was and why I needed it in only that small area. After showing me everything and explaining how it would be fixed she made sure I didn't have any questions. We went over her estimate, what the process would be and then reviewed the contract. She again made sure I didn't have any questions before I signed the contract. I had a great experience with Groundworks and highly recommend Krista.

There were total 2 Teams involved, one was OMAR from the LEVEL CONCRETE Division and other Group Bailey & Curtis from the Ground Work Division. They did a fabulous job and on the second day we had Ground Work Supervisor Steven who too showed up ensuring Ground Work Commitment to the Projects they undertook. In fact I have a client at Jersey Village one street in front where Ground Works has its Houston establishment, it’s massive and the infrastructure proves they are big time in this field. Getting piers put under your house and having it lifted is a very daunting preposition. We need to pull the trigger to try and correct some settling and also prep for future work. Luckily the team that Groundworks sent over (David, Russell, & Enrique) really made the experience as painless as possible. The entire team was super friendly the entire week they were on site, even working through some pretty gnarly weather. David did a fantastic job explain the entire process and answer any questions I had, even some of the hypothetical ones about different scenarios. During the lift they did a great job in making sure there was little stress on the house as possible, this was key for us since we had just done a bathroom and kitchen remodel not that long ago.

We are doing some renovations to our house and decided that in order to do them, we finally needed to address the obvious foundation repairs necessary to do them correctly. I performed a Google search for foundation repair companies in the Houston area. Foundation Support Specialist was able to schedule me for that very same day. Brian Erb was the field inspector assigned to give our house an inspection and estimate for foundation repair. We received notification about 20 minutes prior to his scheduled time by text messages and a phone call, stating that he was on his way. Brian arrived precisely at his scheduled time and was courteous and friendly. After he introduced himself and told us about his company Groundworks (formerly Foundation Support Specialist), he went over a checklist with us to get some history of our home. Afterwards he explained how he would be inspecting our house and what exactly he was looking for. He got to work and was very thorough and professional during his inspection. He measured and drew up a scale diagram of our house, then proceeded to use his Ziplevel to take altitude measurements of the floor throughout our house. His measurements showed that our foundation had sunk almost 2" on the NW corner of our house. He showed us a slideshow on why foundations settle, common practices to repair, and how Groundworks repairs foundations. When he was done, he gave us 3 levels of estimates. A minimal necessary repair, A mid range estimate, and a high end estimate that included extra piers on the SE corner to help support the opposite side of the slab from the repairs. He explained what each level included and answered any questions we had. Brian spent about 2 hours with us and all in all it was a pleasant experience. We have 2 more companies coming out in the next week to give us estimates, and unless they use a similar pier into bedrock system and drastically lower price, we will most likely choose Groundworks for our repairs.

Wow!! I called out Ohio Basement Authority for an inspection of our basement, the small 6×10 extension on the back seemed to be sagging away from the house and we had a significant dip in our large living area of the main floor. Cracks in the walls on the extension. We had another company come out and quote us, their quote was for work that I didn’t think was necessary, and also very expensive. Wanted a second opinion so we called out Ohio Basement Authority, Justin Murphy was our inspector. What an experience. Such a great informative human. He gave me the introduction of the company, we walked around my home, he showed me what was wrong with my home and why. I seen there is no difference in height along the perimeter of my home, no need for peiring. Also discovered the original worry was a bowed wall that needs replaced. Solution to the sagging, new pillars in the basement main support beam. And as a bonus, OBA will be insulating all the basement walls, floor to ceiling, allowing us to use more of our home as a living space. It’s such a victory to reality. I’m so thankful Justin was our Inspector. Very personable gentleman! Was not your traditional sales pitch. Very enjoyable experience at less than half the price of the other guys. Looking forward to the instal!!

Groundworks maintenance technician came out today for our first annual inspection. Ashton was very professional. He gave the sump drainage system under our house a thorough inspection, I know as I crawl under the house with him. He went over every aspect of the system and answered all of my questions. Everything is working perfectly. The inspection was well worth the time. The annual service is included with the project for a period of 5 years.

I have used Select Basement which is now Groundworks for years and across several properties. In NJ there are only two outfits that deal with basements. The other one are incredibly overpriced and do not give any confidence that they are honest. Groundworks dealt with pump installs, maintenance, crack sealing with epoxy and redoing basement wells. Big thanks and shoutout to Aaron Flowers, Andrew Welty, and Carlos Gutierrez who flew in from the Denver, CO groundworks location to address my encapsulation job in California! All three were complete professionals while completing the project. They treated our home with respect (placed plastic to protect our floors and walls as needed), cleaned up after each work day, and kept us informed on how the job was progressing. We went with encapsulation due to each time we had heavy rain, the crawl space would get standing water/muddy (it comes up from the ground). Unfortunately we had a heavy rain storm the first couple days of the encapsulation project, and as such the crawl space turned into a muddy mess. Aaron, Andrew and Carlos would come out of the crawl space looking like they had just completed a mud wrestling match. They kept a positive attitude, and pushed through the challenges of the muddy crawl space to get the project completed. Thank you Groundworks for sending such a great crew to complete my project!
