At this time we have not had the work completed, but met with the Inspector and got things scheduled. So far, we couldn't be happier. Our Inspector, Cory Lee was terrific. He took the time to chat with us about our concerns and plans for remodeling so that he could be sure of what we wanted. He thoroughly explained how they will repair our issues, and gave us several options, at different price points. He even advised us of services we didn't know they offer, that we need. Cory was very professional, efficient and knowledgeable. So far our impression of the company is amazing thanks to this initial appointment with Cory Lee. I look forward to updating our review after the repairs are completed.

From start to finish, Groundworks provided great work. I am a new homeowner, learning about the woes of maintaining a home. Unfortunately, the foundation on my 1960s house was affecting the ability to close my front door. Daniel Raymond gave me a free, but very thorough inspection of the foundation repairs needed on my home. I was pleased to find out Groundworks offers financing without interest. I probably could have found a more affordable company, but I felt comfort in knowing that the piers have a life time warranty and the foam a 5 year warranty. When the day came to get started on the foundation work, it began to snow. Dakota (structural foreman), Philip (co-foreman) and Jose (installer) still showed up on time and got to work. Although they did not get everything done due to the weather, they returned on Saturday (their day off) to finish where they left off. I especially appreciated that they returned to re-cement a few areas where the mailman and stray cats stepped on. Very sweet of them. On a separate day, "the poly guys" came to inject the foam inside and outside my house. Joe (poly foreman) and Alejandro (installer) explained the process before and as they were injecting the foam. For each section, they made sure I was happy with the results. My pups loved them! Communication throughout the whole process was excellent. I was able to call/text any of the foremen and inspector directly about any questions or concerns I had.I recommend Groundworks to anyone looking for quality and reliable foundation repair.

I have a porch off my house that has been showing signs of settling and separation from the house. I put it for an estimate and Andrew Young came out to inspect, he was much more thorough than I was expecting. Contractors usually take a look and throw a number at you and ask when you want to start the job. Andrew Young actually put on a Tyvek suit and crawled under my porch to take pictures and document the angles of the sloping with a laser level. I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge and dedication. After he put his tools away he actually did a rendering on his laptop of what his suggested solution was going to be to solve the issue permanently. I’m still weighing my options of shoring up my porch or doing a tear down and building a deck but if I choose the shoring up option I have complete faith in GroundWorks thanks to the professionalism shown by Andrew.

Manny Bello & Atiim Smith were our installation crew from Groundworks. They arrived on time and were professional throughout. Before starting work they reviewed the plan and provided an estimate of the time required. Our garage slab had settled significantly in areas preventing water from draining out and in some locations, the soil had settled under the concrete 8 inches below the visible concrete settlement of four inches. Within a couple of hours Manny and Atiim had lifted all the slabs to provide excellent drainage. Additionally, simultaneously they worked on our front entry to stabilize that concrete from cracking and settling. The two of them then caulked of the seams. The garage turned out to have a better drainage slope than when it was originally poured and we couldn't be more delighted. Thank you Groundworks and thank you Manny and Atiim.

They encountered a few curveballs along the way but were able to adjust on the fly, explain the situation, and land good outcomes. They took care to clean up throughout the process and minimize disruption. Great communication from our field inspector Josh from start to finish. Wow. What can I say about this company. My father passed away recently and left us his house, which needs major foundation repairs. It’s all my Dad had left to leave his kids, and his grandkids. So with the life insurance he left, we decided the foundation needs repaired. Went online and found Groundworks. The first day I met with Matt Gumpert, for a free quote. He went over EVERYTHING in perfect detail. In the beginning, he made sure I understood everything about Groundworks and what they do. How they operate, and why he does what he does. He spent well over an hour in my crawl space making sure to note every detail along the way. He was in my dining room for quite a long time, going over options of what needs fixed and what we could afford, and honestly, he felt like a part of the family. He was totally professional, but also has a way about him of putting you totally at ease with a stranger. Never ever put any pressure on me at all, and didn’t use any scare tactics to push me into going with their company. At one point, our permit got rejected by an engineer and he spent all day sorting out the issue and really eased all of my concerns. He got it to a geotechnical engineer instead and there were no more issues. Unfortunately in the process of waiting for the city to approve permits, some unexpected financial issues hit us and we had to put the project on hold. I contacted Matt and he didn’t make me feel bad. He totally understood how hard things have been for us without my Dad around, and worked hard to get us most of our deposit back as well. Even though we did not get the project done, in the future when I have the funds, I will definitely be contacting Matt Gumpert at Groundworks again for all of my foundation needs. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with the project, or with my Dads legacy.

We had to have our foundation raised due to a full remodel on our 50-year-old home. I could not be more pleased with the end result. They can work around anything you got going on. Our technicians were so amazing, keeping us informed and answering any questions. Explaining how mud jacking would not have been a good idea with our home. (This was an option from another estimate) Showing us problem areas and so on. Their pricing is comparable as we had gotten a few estimates, and they came in about $500 lower than the others. They left us feeling really good about the rest of this remodel and what our end result will be! As far as clean up. I did not have them clean up since we are in the start of a remodle, and thats what our demo crew is for. But they did ask several times if we wanted them to.

The team of Omar, Luis, and Diego worked quickly to install piers to straighten the cracked foundation of our garage. They worked quickly and kept us informed of their progress. Trouble with their equipment caused them to stop work on the first day, but they returned the next morning with functional equipment. They invited me to watch the actual lift, but evidently forgot. They asked me to come and see the completed work. The large crack in the garage wall was closed and the gaps around the window frame were gone. From my perspective, it certainly looks great, but I have no relevant background or experience in this field, so I have no idea what to look for. They did a great job of restoring the work area to its prior appearance and cleaned up the work area after they finished.

Emily did an excellent job coordinating the schedule, even managed to move the project 2 months from original timeframe. On site, William, Rigoberto and Jose Victor arrived on time, clearly explained the work they would be doing and carried it out efficiently. They were careful throughout the process and made sure everything was cleaned up afterward. Overall, a very positive experience.
